Bingo Baby Jackpot!
Extraordinary events took place at a Gala Bingo hall at Glasshougton recently when one expectant mother nearly gave birth to her child in the toilets during an aftternoon of Bingo. Now there's dedication for you!
The woman, who was 26 years old, caused panic in the club as members of staff rushed to dial 999 and get an ambulance to the venue.
She said "I was playing a game when suddenly I was in so much agony I couldn't concentrate on my numbers. I went to the front of house, then to the toilets and told someone I thought I was having my baby." The crazy events occurred on Friday April 20th 2007 and the woman was taken by surprise as her baby wasn't in fact due for another 3 weeks! The baby has been named Mika.
It seems that you should always expect the unexpected when it comes to UK Bingo.
